I'm planning a few days in Tromsø and trying to decide where to stay. I'd prefer somewhere that makes it easy to walk around, find restaurants, and join tours without spending too much time on transport. For someone visiting for the first time, which area would you choose and what should I see?
I stayed fairly central on my trip, and that turned out to be a good decision since most things were within walking distance. The harbor was especially nice in the evening, and I'd recommend booking a northern lights tour early.
