Taking my car for test next week what should I double check?

My registration is expiring soon so I booked my inspection for next week and I am trying to be proactive about making sure everything is in order. I always get nervous because you never know what small thing might cause a fail. I was reading about common automotive inspection issues that cause failures and apparently things like worn windshield wipers, cracked brake lights, and even license plate screws can be enough to get rejected. I went outside and checked my bulbs which all work but my wipers do have a small tear at the edge so I will replace those just to be safe. For those of you who have been through this many times, is there anything specific that people overlook that gets them every time? I want to avoid the embarrassment of failing over something minor.
